Marshmallow Cake

| for the design in applying frosting just use spatula and touch the frosting and slowly pull up to make thorn like. |
For my Mother Retirement Birthday...... an eight (8) inches round chocolate cake with my new recipe marshmallow icing, decorated with colorful sprinkle and dark chocolate chip.
Marshmallow frosting is simple and cheaper, I keep searching for less expenses icing or frosting and easy to do.... and that's it! I found it! :-).
Here's How to:
For the Cake: any flavor cake what you want it can be, for me I choose Chocolate Cake.
For Frosting: Marshmallow Frosting
Ingredients:
2 Large Egg Whites
1/2 C Sugar
1/4 C *Corn Syrup
2 Tbsp. Water
1 1/2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
Procedure:
Combine frosting ingredients with a pinch of salt in a metal bowl set over a sauce pan of simmering water and beat with handled electric mixer at high speed until frosting is thick and fluffy, 6 to 7 minutes. Remove bowl from heat and continue to beat until slightly cooled. Use frosting the day it is made.
*Note: I don't have a corn syrup at home, I'd search for the substitute of it. And the substitute for corn syrup is 1:4 ratio for every 1 cup of sugar 1/4 cup of water, in this recipe we need 1/4 cup corn syrup, so we need 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 Tablespoon of water.
Don't hesitate to experiment in baking, it's exciting and overwhelmed if the output is good.
Happy Baking Always!

Angry Bird Cake
An Eight inches (8") round Chocolate Cake
Things needed in Angry Bird Design
make an outline of the design
Angry Bird is all time favorite of the children now a days...... as I promised to my nephew "Adam Jurix Amata" (BOK) turns 3 years old last June 3, 2012 and that promise happens only today, the reason why is lack of ingredients and time :-)
A round eight inches chocolate cake in butter cream icing in color red and white piping with medium open flower tip and a little bit color yellow for beak, chocolate ganache for outlining the design and for eyebrows.
What I did is.... Crumb coat first on a very thin layer of frosting, then draw a design with a skewer, but for me, I drew first in parchment paper for practice purposes and outline it in chocolate ganache then start piping.
That's it!... Agry Bird with a smile :-)

Volley Ball Cake
A smile was my reaction after I finished piping this cake :-) ......It is a Volley Ball Cake but I doubt if it is...... hehehehe!....but the color is the same as real volleyball, what ever it looks like, I know it is a volleyball :-).
As of now, I'm playing volleyball for Inter Batch of my Alma mater in High School as a representative of our batch....... one of my co player, her husband is our coach, with no professional fee :-) in return for his patience to teach us and guide us, I was the one who planned for a surprise greetings on Father's Day. So I baked a cake.
A two tier nine inches round chocolate cake with butter cream icing in volleyball design....... just piped it out with two different colors, a blue and a yellow color in a medium open flower tip.
